Birding Ethics
These guidelines are provided by the National Audubon Society.
- Avoid chasing or repeatedly flushing birds.
- Avoid excessive use of recordings.
- Avoid approaching too close to nests and colonies.
- Do not handle birds or eggs except if engaged in rehabilitation activities.
- Avoid trampling the vegetation and breaking branches.
- Do not litter or otherwise introduce foreign materials into natural
environments.
- Do not trespass.
- Follow all regulations in using public land.
