Turk's Cap Lily

At heights of 3 to 7 feet, this showiest member of the lily family lives along the trail in the Sand Cave area. Lilium superbum likes wet meadows and swampy woods. Its many drooping, red-spotted, orange flowers must have reminded its namer of a kind of cap once worn by Turks.
